Biography
Rubens is a CTO-in-Residence at Mainsail Partners, where he partners with portfolio company boards and leadership teams to help strengthen technology strategy, accelerate product innovation, scale organizations, and drive operational improvement.
Before joining Mainsail, Rubens co-founded FieldRoutes and served as its Chief Technology Officer. He helped build FieldRoutes into a widely adopted software platform serving pest control businesses across the United States. Following Mainsail’s investment in 2018, the company continued to scale, was acquired by Gryphon Investors, and was later sold to ServiceTitan in 2022.
After the acquisition, Rubens held several senior product and technology leadership roles at ServiceTitan. As a member of the company’s leadership team, he led strategic initiatives spanning platform architecture, data infrastructure, operational efficiency, AI-enabled experiences, and new product development. He was part of the leadership team at ServiceTitan through its initial public offering (Nasdaq: TTAN).
Rubens also brings years of board and advisory experience with growth-stage software companies. In these roles, he worked across the broader business, including company strategy, go-to-market, operations, organizational design, product, and technology.
Earlier in his career, Rubens held software engineering and business leadership roles in Brazil. He studied Mathematics and Computer Science and earned an MBA in Business Administration and Technology.
Outside of Mainsail
Outside of work, Rubens enjoys traveling with his wife, discovering great food and wine, hosting friends for Brazilian barbecue, and attending concerts. He is also an avid Formula 1 and Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoys playing pickleball.
