Biography
Prescott is a CTO-in-Residence at Mainsail Partners, where he supports internal technology innovation and AI to scale Mainsail’s operations. He also supports portfolio CTOs, CPOs, and CEOs in building scalable product and engineering functions.
Prescott is a multi-time founder. In 2014, he co-founded SourceScrub, a deal sourcing platform for the Private Equity and Investment Banking industries. SourceScrub became a Mainsail portfolio company in 2019 and was later recapitalized with Francisco Partners, where Prescott moved into the CEO role. SourceScrub exited to Datasite in 2025. In 2016, Prescott co-founded 280 CapMarkets, which developed the BondNav® platform – a fixed income aggregation and trading platform. 280 CapMarkets merged with Incapital in 2021 to form InspereX, where Prescott led global technology for the combined firm.
Prescott holds a BA in Cognitive Science from University of California at Berkeley
