Mason joined Mainsail Partners in 2024. He works closely with the VP of Finance, Senior Director of Finance, and Director of FP&A to navigate the quarterly portfolio company valuation process and assist Mainsail with budgeting, fundraising, and financial reporting.
Prior to joining Mainsail, Mason worked at Valuation Research Corporation where he provided valuations for private equity firms and their portfolio companies for purposes of financial reporting and tax planning, involving entire businesses, equity interests, and specific tangible and intangible assets. Mason started his career in geotechnical engineering, working on a wide variety of heavy civil infrastructure including highways, airports, dams, and landfills. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps leading global supply chain and logistics operations for an infantry battalion.
Mason earned a B.S. Civil Engineering from Cal Poly and an M.S. Finance from Santa Clara University.
Outside of Mainsail
In his free time, Mason enjoys hosting dinner parties with friends and family, adventuring in the mountains, whitewater rafting, and playing hockey with his toddler.
