Biography
Eddy is the Vice President of Data Science at Mainsail Partners, where he works with the firm and its portfolio companies to build the data science strategy and capabilities that help drive growth and operational efficiency.
Before joining Mainsail in 2026, Eddy led data science, data engineering, AI, and ML teams at high-growth startups and multi-billion-dollar publicly traded companies, including Bill.com, Divvy (acquired for $2.5 billion), and Limble CMMS. Across those companies, he developed the data strategy and led in building data and AI products, machine learning platforms and models, enterprise data warehouses and data engineering pipelines. He has also developed data leaders who went on to lead their own data teams at multi-billion-dollar startups such as Gong and Navan.
Eddy brings a deep background in AI/ML, finance, and vertical software for SMB and mid-market in multiple industries to his work with Mainsail's portfolio companies. He holds an MBA and an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Utah, and a B.S. in Computer Science from Brigham Young University.
Outside of Mainsail
Outside of work, Eddy spends his time in the mountains and with family and friends. He can usually be found backcountry skiing, trail running, boating on mountain lakes, or playing tennis.
