Biography
Dan Blake is a CTO-in-Residence at Mainsail Partners, where he supports portfolio CTOs, CPOs, and CEOs in building scalable product and engineering functions, with an emphasis on implementing and executing AI strategies. He is a seasoned technology executive with more than 30 years of experience designing, developing, and scaling large-scale, highly available software systems. He has a strong track record of growing technology products into robust SaaS-based solutions and driving innovation in operationally complex environments.
Most recently, Dan was the CTO at Aspire, a ServiceTitan company and Mainsail portfolio company, where he led the technology strategy and oversaw the development and delivery of Aspire’s core platform. Before Aspire, he served as the CTO at MedSpeed, where he led the full replacement of the company’s core back-office and courier mobility systems.
Dan also served as the CTO at Valence Health, managing a team of more than 50 engineers, architects, and support staff, and guiding the development of the company’s next-generation population health platform. Prior to that, he was a senior executive at Airstrip Technologies, where he oversaw the development of patented mobile healthcare technology.
Earlier in his career, Dan founded ArchiStrat Consulting, where he helped organizations maximize enterprise-wide operational efficiency and market reach through web and mobile solutions. He also held leadership roles at Aon, Andersen Consulting, Clark Oil, and McDonnell Douglas.
Dan holds a B.S. in Applied Computer Science and Business from Illinois State University.
