Biography
Alan is an Associate at Mainsail Partners. He is responsible for sourcing, executing, and supporting new investments.
Prior to joining Mainsail, Alan was an Investment Associate at Hercules Capital in San Mateo. While at Hercules, Alan focused on venture debt investments across mid-sized software, hardware, and climate tech companies. Prior to Hercules, Alan was an Investment Banker at Credit Suisse in San Francisco. While at Credit Suisse, Alan worked in the biotech coverage group, advising on M&A and capital raising transactions.
Alan graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he earned a BBA in Finance and minor in Economics from the Scheller College of Business. While at Georgia Tech, Alan was a leader of the Financial Management Association, the GT Investments Committee, and Investment Banking Accelerator program (Accel).
Outside of Mainsail
Alan can be found painting, travelling, skiing, listening to live music, spending time with friends and family, or doing a myriad of thrill-seeking activities.
