Mainsail Partners Announces 6 Promotions, Including Anthony Hayes and Phil Stern to Partner

Austin, TX & San Francisco, CA — February 3, 2026 — Mainsail Partners, a growth equity firm investing in bootstrapped B2B software companies to help them grow into market leaders, today announced six internal promotions, including Anthony Hayes and Phil Stern to Partner. In their expanded roles, Anthony and Phil will help shape Mainsail’s strategy, deepen the firm’s operational support capabilities, and enhance value creation across the portfolio.

On the firm’s Growth and Finance & Firm Operations Teams, Aeri Miller was promoted to Vice President, Finance; Ania Frankel to Senior Director, Internal Operations; Immad Baig to Director, Accounting; and Rachel Byrne to Senior Talent Manager. Their promotions reflect each colleague’s contributions to both the firm and its portfolio companies.

Introducing Mainsail’s New Partners

Anthony Hayes joined Mainsail in 2018 as an Associate and has been a cornerstone of the firm’s Investment Team since, with rising responsibility and success in cultivating new portfolio investments and partnering with each company in their growth. He serves on multiple boards including Steelhead, CourtReserve, Flyntlok, ChiroHD, Skimmer, ServiceCore, ProShop, and Flight Schedule Pro.

Prior to joining Mainsail, Anthony was an investment banker at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He is a graduate of Stanford University, where he also competed on the varsity football team.

Phil Stern joined Mainsail in 2020 and has been a key leader on the Growth Team, helping portfolio companies optimize go-to-market strategies and scale sales operations. Drawing from his experience as a former software operator and SaaS sales leader, Phil brings deep domain experience and a collaborative approach to each portfolio partnership. He currently serves on the boards of Fullbay, ServiceCore and Teamfront.

Before Mainsail, he held sales and growth leadership roles at Gusto, Zen Planner, LogMeIn, and Forrester Research. He is a graduate of Bowdoin College where he was co-captain of the varsity lacrosse team.
