Director, FP&A
Tate joined Mainsail 2018. He works closely with the VP of Finance and CFO on quarterly portfolio company valuations, budgeting, fundraising, portfolio analytics, and other financial analyses to support strategic decision making.
Tate also works with Mainsail’s operations team and portfolio company executives on the development and analysis of KPI reporting packages.
Prior to Mainsail, Tate worked at KPMG as a part of the Valuation Services group. At KPMG, he worked on a wide range of valuation-related engagements involving entire businesses, joint ventures, and equity interests as well as specific tangible and intangible assets for purposes of financial reporting, tax planning, and other strategic initiatives across a diverse client base.
Tate graduated from the University of Oregon, where he earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Economics.
Outside of Mainsail…
Outside of Mainsail, Tate enjoys staying active outdoors, spending time with friends, and getting overly invested in college football and basketball games.
