The addition of three new team members is expected to increase operational and strategic support
for Mainsail Partners’ portfolio companies.

AUSTIN, TX and SAN FRANCISCO, CA | October 10, 2022 — Mainsail Partners, a growth equity firm that seeks to invest in rapidly growing, bootstrapped software companies, continues to build and expand its Operations Team with three key hires. Inbar Fridman joins Mainsail’s Operations Team as Vice President of Finance, Brian Russell joins as Vice President of Pricing, and Michael McEuen joins as Director of Demand Generation. In addition to the new hires, Mainsail announced the promotion of Anthony Hayes from Senior Associate to Vice President.

As software companies continue to expand their capabilities in pricing, demand generation and financial planning and analysis (FP&A), Mainsail’s Operations Team continues to focus on expanding its specializations to better support these growth levers. These recent hires will provide augmented support for revenue operations, pricing models and finance organizations to help the firm’s portfolio companies scale their businesses in growing markets.

“We continue to build out our team in areas where we believe software companies will benefit from additional experience and capabilities,” says Bill Salisbury, Operating Partner and CFO of Mainsail.  “We believe price optimization, demand generation and next level financial management are levers for growth which have the potential to unlock value for our portfolio companies. In addition to the value their skillsets bring to Mainsail and our portfolio, we are equally excited about the opportunity for Inbar, Brian and Mike to further enhance our culture.”

As Vice President of Finance, Inbar Fridman will work with Mainsail’s portfolio companies to support M&A, improve systems and processes for KPI reporting, and analyze opportunities for expansion.  Prior to joining Mainsail, Inbar served as Director of Finance at Volaris Group, a subsidiary of Constellation Software. Prior to that role, Inbar held accounting and finance roles at several technology businesses and started her career in public accounting at PWC.

Brian Russell joins Mainsail Partners as Vice President of Pricing and will work closely with Mainsail’s portfolio companies to optimize their product pricing and packaging. Brian brings over a decade of experience developing competitive pricing strategies that help scale software businesses. Prior to joining Mainsail, Brian served as Head of Pricing Strategy at Zuora, a SaaS vendor that provides quote-to-cash solutions for subscription businesses, and at Workday, where he developed SaaS pricing and packaging strategies for new product launches and go-to-market initiatives.

To help Mainsail’s portfolio companies build, optimize, and strengthen demand generation and sales impact pipelines, Michael McEuen joins Mainsail as Director of Demand Generation. Michael’s prior experience includes building cross-functional programs that generated pipeline growth and bookings at SaaS companies, including Gong, Dooly, and Mixmax.

Anthony Hayes joined Mainsail as an Associate in 2018 and was promoted to Senior Associate before being promoted again to Vice President on Mainsail’s Investment Team. As a Senior Associate, he supported several recent investments. Additionally, Anthony recently completed a six-month externship as Chief of Staff at ServiceCore where he played an instrumental role in launching a new website product.
