Ukraine Relief/Support Response

Ukraine Relief/Support Response
March 9, 2022 Sarita

Like much of the world, we have been watching the situation in Ukraine unfold with sadness and concern for those affected by these events. In addition to colleagues who have friends and family in the region, several of our portfolio companies have employees or partners in Ukraine. We are working with our portfolio companies to monitor their well-being and do what we can to support them.

One of the ways that Mainsail is showing our support is by donating to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), an organization that is committed to responding to urgent humanitarian needs stemming from armed conflicts. We are also matching Mainsail employee contributions. If you’d like to join us in helping, here is a link to make a donation or learn more about ICRC. https://www.icrc.org/en/donate/ukraine

A few ways Mainsail’s portfolio is providing support…

  • 3PL Central: 3PL Central is working with a logistics partner with a facility in Poland to distribute humanitarian aid to the border of Poland and Ukraine. They are currently formulating a plan to send a 40ft container worth of goods needed (clothes, blankets, infant formula, etc.) to assist the refugees entering Poland. Through this plan they are partnering with other brands they work with as well as a company-matching employee donation program to organize the effort.
  • Boostlingo: Boostlingo is reaching out to various humanitarian organizations in Poland/Romania to offer free interpreting minutes at the border to assist with refugee needs. Separately, they have launched a GoFundMe account for employees to donate money to and the company will match employee donations.
  • Brilliant Earth: The Brilliant Earth Foundation has donated to the International Rescue Committee (IRC). The IRC responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives. https://www.rescue.org/
  • Centerbase: Centerbase is running an internal campaign to raise money for UNICEF https://www.unicefusa.org/ and they have raised over $1,000 to date.
  • Inspect Point: Several Inspect Point contractors through their Ukrainian vendor, Leobit, are directly affected and two have fled to Poland. To support them, Inspect Point is providing an additional stipend to assist with the extra housing costs as they stay in hotels.
  • SourceScrub: SourceScrub has some contractors based out of Ukraine and their parent company has been able to provide quite a bit of support on the ground. SourceScrub is supporting Razom, a non-profit that is coordinating donations to multiple humanitarian needs within Ukraine. Employee contributions are being matched by SourceScrub. https://razomforukraine.org/donate/
  • Syncro: The Syncro team has three members that currently live and remain in Ukraine. Syncro has been in regular contact with them and have expedited invoicing to be sure they are still paid timely given the banking situation there.  Syncro has also has donated to Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund – https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/ukraine-crisis-relief-fund/
